I-9 Employment Verification

For an I-9 appointment, employees must present original, unexpired documents that establish identity and employment eligibility. Commonly accepted documents include:

1. U.S. Passport or Passport Card (proves both identity and employment authorization).
2. Driver’s License or State ID Card (for identity) AND Social Security Card or Birth Certificate (for employment eligibility).
3. Permanent Resident Card or Employment Authorization Document (if applicable).

In addition to employee documents, Bloomington Notary requires employer information to complete the I-9 employment verification process. This includes the employer's name, address, and contact details as listed on the I-9 form. Having this information ready ensures the verification is accurate and fully compliant with federal requirements. Please provide these details at the time of the appointment to avoid delays.
